I was born in 1971 in Rome. During the 1980s, I moved with my family to northern Italy, where I graduated from the Liceo Linguistico Europeo Paolino d’Aquileia in Gorizia, a secondary school specialising in modern languages.

I later moved to Venice to study at the Academy of Fine Arts. In 1998, I wrote my graduation thesis on one of the most popular TV channels among young people, MTV, entitled MTV as a Planetary Work of Art. Starting from a broader perspective on the evolution of television broadcasting and audience demand in the 1980s and 1990s, and exploring youth culture and subcultures, I ultimately focused on MTV, analysing its aesthetics and its fascinating ephemeral products.

I decided to further explore the technical aspects of the audiovisual process and specialised in Film and Television Directing at the Accademia Nazionale del Cinema in Bologna. Over the following years, I developed my skills in editing, focusing on documentary, reportage, reality, short film and feature film.
