Jnka has been working as a freelance video editor for the major italian TV broadcasters, such as RAI, Sky Italia, La7 and Mediaset. 

Now based in Berlin she has expanded her client portfolio by editing for ZDF, ARTE, RTL, MDR, NDR, SRF, Deutsche Telekom.

Over the years, she has specialised in editing Documentaries, Topical Talk Shows, News and Journalistic In-depths, Reality shows. In 2018 she was awarded the best film editing prize at the 2nd Indian World Film Festival for the 52 minutes documentary "Behind the Mask".

She furthered her experience by editing feature and short films which were subsequently selected in several Film Festivals. In 2020 she edited her first feature film entitled 'Primavera Duemilaventi', which premiered at the Filmkunstfest MV 2021 in Schwerin Germany, gaining the FIPIRESCI jury Best Film Award and the DEFA Foundation Young Talent Award.

She has a long experience in editing of news material (interviews, packages, picture sequences etc) for the live rolling news output, long form editing of feature news programming, editing of promotional material derived from and highlighting the news output, quality controlling and mastering material for external distribution.

 

Her best qualities are:

• excellent sense of pace and timing.

• Ability to visualize the written word and express it in pictures and sound to achieve the producer's or journalists vision.

• The skill to edit creative or meaningful sequences from available footage.

• Ability to work closely and constructively with other team members (journalists, producers, directors etc).

• Ability to work independently when required - making sound judgements about shot and audio selection.

• Ability to work calmly and effectively in extremely stressful time critical situations.
